Shower enclosures of tested quality
Quality is not just a catchword for us, it's a lived reality. You’ll instantly notice the quality with which our raw materials and profiles are processed. The assembly of each individual shower enclosure is the responsibility of only one person (no assembly line work), which contributes to a high quality standard and maximum motivation of the employees.
Innovative development and production – our strengths.
From development to production, we combine advanced machinery and IT systems with meticulous craftsmanship. The ease of installation and long life of Duka shower enclosures, which have delighted our customers for years, are based not only on premium raw materials and a strictly controlled production process, but also on the dedication and precision of our development and testing teams.

Easy to install
Precision-defined procedures and installation instructions together with a skilled installation team make it possible for us to guarantee rapid, smooth installation. As far as possible, our shower enclosures and their component parts are pre-mounted before delivery, while purpose-designed technical features allow for ease of installation and final adjustments on site. In addition, our very comprehensible assembly instructions enable the shower enclosure to be installed without any problems in a short time.

Easy to use
Our shower enclosures stand out for their exceptional ease of use. We make every effort to ensure that our shower enclosures are easy and practical to use. For this reason, they are equipped with technical features such as the Automatic Close & Stop system, the 180° hinge, the lift-and-lower mechanism and ergonomic handles. In addition, the sliding elements can be removed and cleaned quickly and easily thanks to the release mechanism.

Easy product maintenance
Duka shower enclosures are a stunning feature to any bathroom. To make sure that you are able to enjoy your "duka" for as many years as possible, taking good care of it is essential - here are a few tips to help with your shower cleaning routine.
ProCare
"Cleaning has never been so quick and easy! A special coating is applied to the glass, making it significantly easier to clean than untreated glass: All you need to do is give it a quick wipe-down after showering. Procedure, product care & glass corrosion The long-lasting properties of ProCare are obtained through a special magnetron process to apply a layer of metal oxide to the glass, after which it is tempered in a glass furnace to activate the coating; if product care instructions are followed, this coating will remain on the glass for life. All glass needs proper care, and ProCare is no exception. To clean your glass, we recommend using water and a soft cloth or a wiper and a cleaning product specifically for shower enclosures. Do not use abrasive products. Glass corrosion corrodes and ages the surface of the glass. This creates a cloudy film on the glass, which leads to the build-up of grime. ProCare protects your glass from corrosion, giving you a sparklingly transparent glass that stands the test of time. Treated glass & untreated glass With ProCare, the glass retains its crystal-clear transparency over time: Discolouring and glass corrosion are problems of the past. ProCare glass is clean and smooth, even when magnified 1000 times under a microscope. n contrast, this image illustrates traditional shower panels after daily cleaning: The rough surface is coated in a cloudy, white film."
Protect
The surface of the glass is very rough when viewed under a microscope and thus offers an ideal attack surface for corrosion, dirt, bacterial infestation and limescale deposits. With Protect, the tempered safety glass is provided with a water-repellent coating. After application, the coating is dried and hardened by heating. The properties of the coating ensure that water, and with it dirt, can roll off the glass more easily. This greatly reduces the accumulation of dirt and limescale. Dirt can only bond with the glass surface with difficulty. Glass treated with Protect requires significantly less cleaning than untreated glass. Protect does not replace regular cleaning of the glass pane, but it makes it much easier.

Compliant with EC regulations
Since 1 September 2007, the CE marking is also legally required on shower enclosures. This marking gives the EU citizens the security that the purchased shower enclosures comply with European quality standards. Basis for this is not a self-declaration, as has been widely mistaken, but a series of extensive and costly testing methods, which are exactly defined by the European Standard EN 14428.Specifically it not only defines the sufficient documentation for installation and maintenance, but it also defines the required properties shower enclosures must fulfil regarding the "cleanability", the "glass breakage" and the "resistance".” Besser wäre “Besides the fact that it defines the sufficient documentation for installation and maintenance it also specifies the required features like "cleanability", the "glass breakage" and the "resistance".
Duka has already since years its own laboratory where materials are tested on their properties, their behaviour in a long time interval (simulated), and thus Duka has as one of the few manufacturers even the competence and ability to perform the required tests by itself. The customer will benefit not only by the a prior into force entry CE standard marking, but even more by all the findings, which are obtained in such tests and incorporated into product developments and improvements. The test methods are specific to each type (round, corner, niche ...) and carried out for each model, considering the heights and widths of the individual shower enclosures.
QR Code
Each Duka shower enclosure is a piece of jewelry for your bathroom and will give you long term joy. However, if you need a spare part or you need our warranty, it is important to be able to identify your shower enclosure properly. Therefor, every Duka product has a QR code on the bottom outer side.

This code is like an "identity card" of your Duka shower enclosure and has an 8-digit number, with which we can associate your product unequivocally. Thus we know, for example, when your shower enclosure was built, which features it has and which are the correct spare parts. This code can be easily read and communicated to your retailer, where you bought your Duka shower enclosure. He will then be able to arrange everything. Here's how it works:
Step 1
You have a smartphone: with a QR code scanner on your smartphone, you can identify it quickly and easily. For reading out the QR-code, Duka recommends the fallowing scanner apps:
Step 2
You have a camera: you make a good resolution photo of the QR code and give it to the seller of your Duka shower enclosure. He sends it to us and we read the code for you.
Step 3
Use the digit sequence under the cross code: there you will find the 8 digits of the code printed in plain text.
CE-compliant
Duka declares that Duka shower enclosures are covered by a contractual guarantee. In particular, Duka informs the final user that Duka shower enclosures are guaranteed as follows: 5-YEAR GUARANTEE from the date of production stamped on the guarantee certificate.
The final user therefore has the right to contact his/her own Dealer, who will arrange for enforcement of the guarantee according to the above stated terms. The request for measures to be taken under the guarantee must be addressed to your own Dealer in writing, and the said request must clearly specify the defect and give all information that may be useful in order to verify the nature and the entity of the defect. The contractual guarantee does not cover:
installation and assembly that have not been carried out perfectly or failure to observe the Duka assembly, use and maintenance instructions;
defects deriving from lack of maintenance and/or cleaning carried out without observing the Duka assembly, use and maintenance instructions, or incorrect transport, unloading and conservation modalities (such as, for example, storing the products in the open air);
modification, repair, addition, replacement of defected or damaged Duka product parts without authorization from duka, or, in any case, carried out by third parties other than duka;
in the case of glass breakage and wear caused by the ordinary usage of the Duka product. This refers to coatings and wearing parts, which are excluded from warranty claims: anti-flooding and waterproofing gaskets, magnets, roller bearings, sliding hooks, bumpers, rabbets and guide rail.
Shower enclosures which are found to be damaged on arrival must not be installed, otherwise the guarantee will be null and void. If measures are requested to be taken under the guarantee, the final user undertakes to deliver to the Dealer the certificate of guarantee together with the document confirming the delivery of the product, and the payment receipt slip and/or the invoice, without which documents the guarantee shall be null and void. It remains understood that this Guarantee is in addition to the legal guarantee which shall always remain valid and binding.
Availability guarantee >> Duka guarantees the availability of the components subject to wear, for 10 years from production date.

Water Retention >> Water tightness is in fact one of the main characteristics a shower enclosure requires, in order to be CE-marked; Duka puts great attention on this, throughly documenting all the tests. Where the different construction elements and surfaces join, water retention has to be provided. Water tightness between wall, shower tray and shower enclosure is guaranteed by performing the installation according to the best practice and following the provided installation instructions. Tightness between glazings and profiles is provided directly in the production process, with continuous sealings and proper sealing profiles. The water tightness on the doorstep area depends instead on the different installation conditions:
The enclosures with horizontal profiles offer the best protection against water leakage. The bottom profile acts in fact like a dam.
In the enclosures without horizontal profiles, water tightness is achieved through the combination of drip-off profile with anti-flood profile.
Without anti-flood profile, water could easily leak out, therefore this profile must always be installed.

Care and maintenance
Glass properties
Duka manufactures its glass shower enclosures using exclusively high-quality thermally toughened safety glass, complying with the EN 14428 standard. The glass production process characteristics do not permit to exclude the formation of tiny gas bubbles in the glass. These bubbles, toghether with the green reflections which can be seen
Safety
Thermally-toughened safety glass is characterized by enhanced impact, bending and thermal resistance. Glass edges are delicate spots, and it is necessary to avoid contacts with door handles, wash basins and similar hard surfaces, paying attention to the installation area characteristics. In case of breakage, the glass panel falls apart into small cuboid fragments rather than irregular shards of glass, as it happens for traditional window glas, and it is therefore less likely to cause injury.
All our warranty certificates are provided with an RFID label.
This warranty certificate is enclosed in the box when the shower enclosure is packed. An employee drives with the shower enclosure through an RFID reader. This automatically reads the RFID chips in the boxes and generates the loading list. This allows us to see how many and whether the right shower enclusures are on the truck.
